Ona Akers

Ona Akers, 81, of Zanesville died at 6:40 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2006 at Genesis Hospice- Morrison House. She was born March 30, 1925 in Wayne Co., West Virginia, a daughter of the late Edward and Lutie Dillon Frasher.. Surviving are two sons; Junior ( Rita) Akers of Zanesville and Ed ( Kim) Akers of Ruskin, Florida, eight grandchildren; Mathew Akers, Juni (Steve) Runkle and Kristen Akers, Matt (Alicia) Akers, Don (Kelly) Riley, Mike (Hope) Riley, Rhonda ( Joe Ryan) Watts and Marsha (Bill) Macenko, and twenty great grandchildren. Besides her parents, She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Akers, who died December 12, 2001 a son, Erman Akers, a daughter, Susan Akers, a great grandson, Xion Michael Akers, eight brothers and three sisters. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio. Additional calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2006 at Young Funeral Home, 201 West Main Street, Louisa, Kentucky where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2006 with Rev. Richard Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at Frasher Cemetery, Wayne Co.,West Virgina
