Opal Marie Hiener, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born June 30, 1913 in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of the late Jesse and Eva Gooden Demster. Opal was a former sales manager in the Jewelry Industry, a member of the St. James Episcopal Church, a member of the Salvation Army Aux., a member of the Junior Bethesda League and a volunteer at Bethesda Hospital. Surviving are two daughters, Marcia (Robert) Mason of Zanesville and Cynthia (James) Farley of Scott Depot, W. Va. and a daughter in-law, Agnes Hiener of Dunedin, Fl. Four grandchildren, William (Theresa) Mason of Greenwood Ind., John Mason of Raleigh N. C., Kristie (Kacey) Cottrill of Zanesville and Richard (Angie) Haney of Eskdale W. Va. Eleven great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband William G. (Bud) Hiener (11/13/1982) and by a son Ronald E. Hiener (5/6/1981) Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave. Zanesville, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday March 13, 2006 at the St. James Episcopal Church with the Rev. Ron Baird officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the St. James Episcopal Church or to the Ladies Auxillary of the Salvation Army.
