Orin "Tiny" L. Palmer, 83, of Zanesville, went to be with his parents and siblings at 1:15 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2009 at his home. He was born July 27, 1926 in Reinersville, Ohio, a son of the late Orin L. and Avis Hutchins Palmer. He worked as a Journeyman Lineman for many companies and retired from Howard Johnson's Motel. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. Surviving are his wife, Betty L. Price Palmer, whom he married December 15, 1951 of the home; a daughter, Sandy Knicely of Zanesville; two sons, Tony Palmer of Zanesville and Russell (Debbie) Palmer of Adamsville; five grandchildren, Becky Knicely , Matt (Amanda) Palmer, Brian (Sarah Stickle) Palmer, Cory (Melissa) Palmer and Jared Palmer; six great grandchildren, Zachaury, Shiann, Derrick, Kloey, Kaylee and Leelend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Garrett and Elsie Huck; three brothers, Kenyon, Gene and Kenneth Palmer. Friends and family may call from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, OHIO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the funeral home with Orin's son, Russell Palmer officiating. Burial will follow at Adamsville Baptist Cemetery, Adamsville.
