Patricia A. (Anderson) Moore

February 4, 1936 — July 29, 2012

Patricia A. "Pat" Moore, 76, of Zanesville, went home to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, at 6:32 a.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born February 4, 1936 in Zanesville, the only daughter of the late John C. and Gladys Walker Anderson. During the course of her lifetime, Pat touched many lives. She began her career as an Elementary teacher at the Zanesville City Schools and then moved to teach English and Reading at the Maysville Local School District, where she eventually retired in 1987. She devoted her retirement years to spending time with her beloved family and friends. Pat was a member of the Rhema House of Worship in Roseville where her Christian walk just blossomed. She was also involved with the Retired Teachers Association, the Morgan County Historical Society, the Muskingum County Friends of the Library, and the Roseville Community Food Pantry. Surviving are a daughter, Cathy (Jay) Huggins of Zanesville; a son Michael (Teresa) Moore of Rose Hill, Kansas; five grandsons, John (Ausha) Moore, Jacob Moore, Tyler Moore, JJ Huggins and Jerry Huggins; and two great-grandsons, Dominick and Noah Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David E. Moore, who died September 10, 2006. They had enjoyed a committed and loving marriage for over 51 years. No calling hours will be observed, a dignified cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Rhema House of Worship at Noon following Sunday Morning service on August 5th. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2012 at Zanesville Memorial Park with Pastor Wesley Kidwell officiating. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville has been entrusted with all arrangements. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be made to the Rhema House of Worship, P.O. Box 135, Roseville, OH, 43777.
