Patrick Robert O'Neill

Patrick Robert O'Neill, 76 of Dresden, Ohio passed away the morning of February 1, 2014 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born February 5, 1937 in Zanesville Ohio and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired Vice President of Sales for Holten Meats Inc. Patrick was a devoted husband and father and recently celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary to his wife Linda O'Neill, of Dresden. He was an avid golfer, poker player and was a huge fan of the New York Yankees, Chuckles candy and his dog Bubby (Samuel Hondo). He was a friend and mentor to many and spent his life cheering for the underdog, as his life was the epitome of a man who changed his stars. A true salesman, he believed all people needed was hard work and an opportunity to leave their mark, and leave a mark he did, as he will forever be in the hearts of those who loved him. Patrick is survived by his Wife Linda O'Neill; daughters Rian (Christian) Valentine, Shawn-Ellen (James) McCance, Kelly Lynn (Myron) Aber, Stacy O'Neill-King; sons Jamie (Tammy) O'Neill, Clayton O'Neill, Bradley (Darlene) O'Neill, Ricky O'Neill; Grandchildren Rylee Aber, James McCance, Michael O'Neill, Brian O'Neill, Kris O'Neill, Breanna O'Neill, Heather O'Neill, Connor O'Neill, Bryson O'Neill, Jennifer King, Kaitlin King and Sarah King and countless great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie and Homer O'Neill, Brother James O'Neill and sister Emma Jean O'Neill. Friends and Family may call at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE ,from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday February 4, 2014 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where the funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 with Father Robert E. Willmann officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 following the service.
