Patrick Raymond Shaeffer

Patrick Raymond "Pat" Shaeffer, 66, of Zanesville, died at 12:50 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2008 at his residence. He was born February 20, 1941, in Zanesville, a son of Gladys Tracey Shaeffer of Zanesvile and the late Raymond K Shaeffer . He owned and operated a print shop in Gonzales, Texas and had worked for the City of Zanesville. Pat was an avid football fan and his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. He loved to hunt and fish. Surviving in addition to his mother are a daughter, Jodie (Jeff) Dew of Roseville; six grandchildren, John Lyall of Zanesville, Michelle (Duane) Smith of Thornville, Hanna Lyall of Zanesville, Heidi, Kryssa, and Oliva Lyall of Roseville; four great grandsons, Caleb Lyall, Wyatt German, Ashton and Kylar Smith and his loving dog; Wag It. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Shaeffer. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. till service time at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with Rev. Allan Teter officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
