Patty Lou (Krouskoupf) Pierce

Patty Lou Pierce, 80, of Zanesville, died at 8:05 A.M. on Monday, January 4, 2016, at her home. She was born February 19, 1935, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late George and Osa Winter Dearth Krouskoupf. She was a 1953 Lash High School graduate, and worked for the Maysville School District for 13 years. She is survived by her daughter Pippa Pierce of Temecula, CA; nieces, Vicky Krouskoupf Crist of Newark, Leslie Krouskoupf Harlan of Zanesville, and Pam Krouskoupf Melvin of Zanesville; nephew Daniel George Krouskoupf of Zanesville; many great nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law Sandra Pierce Corns of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald A. Pierce, who died June 20, 2013; a son Donald Shawn Pierce; a sister Adaline Krouskoupf Baesel; and two brothers, George Krouskoupf and Louis Krouskoupf. Friends and family may call from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 8, 2016, with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Donald and son Shawn at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice-Morrison House: 713 Forest Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701.
