Paul David Diller, 84, has passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Monday, June 30, 2014. He spent his final days resting peacefully surrounded by the love and care of his family. He is survived by his children, Kimm Cynkar of Columbus, Ohio; Lynn (Scott) Smith of Nashport, Ohio; Scott (Teresa) Diller of Hopewell, Ohio; grandchildren, Danielle Parks, Trevor Lanning, Tiffany (Matt) Cornett, Jennifer Diller and Ethan Benedicto; and great-granddaughter Molly Cornett. In addition to his parents, the late Paul and Carolyn Wise Diller, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Norma Dean Diller; and his brother Charles (Mary) Watkins. Paul was born March 20, 1930, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, and moved to Zanesville, Ohio in 1962. He was a member of the Mt. Sterling United Methodist Church. Paul was with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for 34 years before founding Diller Brokerage. During his tenure at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, he attended Ohio State University and obtained his CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) accreditation. A husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, his passions were flying his airplane, playing his saxophone with the Kenny Wheeler Band, traveling, fishing and above all spending time with his family. Following cremation, his family will be carrying out a private celebration of his life. Paul and his family would like to send love and appreciation to all those at the Primrose Retirement Community and Hospice of Central Ohio who gave comfort and peace to his last days on earth.
