Paul A. Folkers

Paul Allan Folkers, 58, of Zanesville, passed away from cancer on January 19, 2008 at the Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born August 28, 1949, in Bloomington, IL, to the late Ralph and Mildred Rocke Folkers. Paul was an antique dealer and furniture restorer his entire life. He was the proprietor of Hickory Wind Antiques for 37 years in Hudson IL, Pomeroy, Ohio and Zanesville, Ohio. He moved to Southeastern Ohio in 1977 where he was a member of the Carpenters Local 650 in Pomeroy Ohio. He moved to Zanesville in 1987 where he continued to deal in antiques until his death. Paul is survived by three sisters, Marge Spires of Eureka IL., Joyce (Stan) Valley of Normal IL. and Carol (Bill) Scaggs of Largo FL.; a brother, Mark (Janet) Folkers of Gridley IL. and several nieces and nephews; he also leaves behind many friends, especially Billie, Cleo, Rambo, Chester, Phil and Suzanne. No calling hours will be observed. A caring cremation will take place. The Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville are entrusted with all arrangements.
