Paul J. Russell

Paul James Russell Age: 82 of Zanesville, Ohio passed away February 17, 2022 at Genesis Healthcare System due to complications from serious injuries sustained from a fall at his residence. He was born on July 3, 1939 to the late Beatrice (Lauderman) Russell and Tull Stone Russell. He retired from his business, Paul Russell Painting & Contracting of Zanesville Ohio. He was a professional oil painting artist, taking first place for the Fine Arts Division on behalf of the Noble County Retail Merchants Association. In 1996, he won the People's Choice Award at the Zanesville Art Center, took first place June 2000 in a Cambridge show and was presented the award winner in 2001 of the George Marquis Memorial Award. He was an avid fisherman and had a huge love for nature He also loved playing guitar/music whether solo or with the band.

Survivors include his daughter: Julie (Russell) Binkley & (Larry Greear) of Leipsic Ohio, a step-son: Carl Wilson of Zanesville Ohio, a granddaughter: Lorraine (Binkley) Tysinger, a grandson: Kevin Binkley Jr and two great grandsons: Cole & Ashton McGrew.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, his brother: Harry Russell and his wife: Dixie (Graley) Russell.

No calling hours or services will be held a cremation will take place under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
