Peg Beale Ferrell, age 96, of Zanesville, died early Friday morning at her residence. She was born May 23, 1909 in Muskingum County, the daughter of the late Ralph and Anna Dixon Wendell. Mrs. Ferrell was a Commissioner Assignment for Judge Lincoln Knapp for many years until her retirement in 1972. She was an avid golfer and reader. Surviving are two daughters, Michele J. (Robert) Ross and Mollye Beale, all of Zanesville, a son Drew Strong of Punta Gorda, FL. Six grandchildren, Jeff (Molly) Ross of Nashport,Rebecca (Donnie) Hina of Zanesville, Julie (Dan) Smith of Smyrna Georgia, Jenny (David) Moore of Harlingen TX., Jodie (Darren) Holt and Tim Strong, both of Punta Gorda, FL., eight great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford N. Beale (1941) and her second husband, Joseph G. Ferrell, and two sisters, Ruth Burley and Madeline Wendell. No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Zanesville Memorial Park with Sally Dansky and Drew Strong officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter All arrangements have been entrusted to the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville, Ohio.
