Peggy Cooperrider Esworthy

Peggy Cooperrider Esworthy, 88, of Zanesville, died at 11:00 P.M. on Monday, November 28, 2016, at Clay Gardens Place. She was born November 18, 1928 in Zanesville, daughter of the late Charles and Mabel Walcott Slusser. A 1946 graduate of Nashport High School, she was a member of First Christian Church and retired as office manager from Sunnyview Nursing Home. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Friel of Zanesville, Lisa (Steve) Feldner-Vasko of New Albany, and Lori E. Cooperrider of Gahanna; seven grandchildren, Lindsay Friel, Jordan (Olivia) Friel, Patrick Friel, David Feldner, Rachel (Frank) Herman, Andrew Feldner, and Emily Cooperrider; and two great-grandchildren, Rocco and Bruno Herman. Also surviving is her sister, Kathryn Ziemer, of Florida and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Mills of Johnstown. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Forrest Dale Cooperrider, whom she married on August 8, 1948 and who died September 29, 1993; her second husband, Robert Esworthy; and a sister Eileen Nethers. Friends and family may call from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE and also one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 2, 2016, with Rev Dawn Remster officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park beside her beloved husband Forrest.
