Peggy E. (Smith) Jay

Peggy E. Jay, 88, of Zanesville, died at 4:08 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Autumn Health Care of Cambridge. She was born February 22, 1924 a daughter of the late Sidney & Eva Cohen Smith. Peggy was an office supervisor at Western and Southern Life Insurance Company. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, and the historical society. Peggy was a dedicated volunteer for 25 years at Genesis. Surviving are a daughter, Carol (Walter) Fritz of Westerville; a son, Gary (Donna) Jay of Cambridge, seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Jay, who died on September 4, 2004, and a brother, Robert Smith. No calling hours will be observed. A private family burial will be held.
