Phillip E. Ross, 65, of Nashport, died at 6:52 P.M. on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born February 14, 1947, in Zanesville, a son of the late Ted and Dorothy Whittlinger Ross. He retired as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, and was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW George Selsam Post #1058, and was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing at Vista View Golf Course. Surviving are three daughters, Monica (Joe) Stomps of Dayton, Mindy (Bob) Anton of Zanesville, and Katie (Kyle) Winland of Zanesville; six grandchildren; a brother Ted (Alice) Ross of New Concord, and an aunt Charlotte Shuter of Springfield, IN. No calling hours will be observed. A dignified cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville.
