Phyllis M. Johnson

Phyllis Marie "Peg" Johnson, 81, of Zanesville, died at 12:57 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2008 at Summerville at North Hills. She was born January 7, 1927, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Carl McNeal and Marie Stout McNeal Neff. She retired as a secretary for the Trust Department for National City Bank and she was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband, Stanley R. Johnson, whom she married January 3, 1993, of the home; two daughters, Susan (John) Rosenberger and Rebecca (John Todd) Karam, both of Columbus, OH.; a son, Robert (Terry) Zellar of Columbus; a step daughter, Laurie (John) Crane of Charlotte, NC.; two step-sons, Robert Johnson of Phoenix, AZ and Jeffrey (Terri) Johnson of Dove Canyon, CA; seven grandchildren; five step grandchildren; two brothers, Mark (Evelyn) Neff of Cannelville and Craig (Sharon) Neff of Roseville and a nephew, Tom (Barb) Crowder of Roseville. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Charles Neff; her first husband, Robert E. Zellar and a sister, Colleen Gillom. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark A. Combs and Rev. Frederich Weber officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
