Rachel V. Sims, 85, of Zanesville died at 1:00 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2005 at Genesis Extended Care & Rehab Center. She was born February 3, 1920 at Zanesville a daughter of the late James and Martha Fisher McCloud. She was a member of Wildwood Church of Christ and was a cook for over 20 years at Adornetto's Restaurant. Surviving are three daughters, Vickie (Al) Gameos of Pittsburgh, PA., Wanda (David) Loser of Losantville, Indiana and Roberta ( David) Echelberry of Chandlersville, two sons, David (Dee) Sims of Chandlersville and Larry (Tammy) Sims of Springboro, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Sims of Zanesville, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a brother, James (Shirley) McCloud of Cleveland. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Sims who died in 1989, a son, Gene Sims , two sisters, Ruth Myers and Mary Dillinger and two brothers, Robert and Charles McCloud. Friends may call from noon to service time Monday, October 24, 2005 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. C. Frank Maple officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
