Ralph W. Touvell, 72, of Zanesville, died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Genesis Good Samaritan hospital. He was born August 8, 1934, in Zanesville, a son of the late Ralph L. and Dorothy Adams Touvell. He retired from Anchor Glass as a mould maker after 37 years of service. He was a member of Eagles #302 and American Legion Post #29 and was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer and bowler. Surviving are two daughters, Cathy (Robert) Lee of Zanesville and Lorri (Andy) Plankenhorn of Hazel Green, Alabama; a son, Brian Touvell of Nashport; seven grandchildren, Jodi, Lisa, Stacy, Megan, Adam, Christian and Amanda; eight great grandchildren, Mariah, Carrigan, Gage, Dylan, Billy, Cordelia, Serenity and Madison; four sisters, Cecil (Lawrence) Soller of Zanesville, Vera Hartley of Crooksville, Ruth (Paul) Burkett and Dorothy (John) Mitchell, all of Zanesville; a brother, Walter (Shirley) Touvell of Zanesville and a special friend, Jean Dingus of Zanesville. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Touvell and two sisters, Betty Jean Lutz and Joyce Cook. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2007 at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
