Ray Wisecarver Sr., 84, of Roseville, died at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2011, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was born June 1, 1927 in Adamsville to the late Vibert and Ruby Newell Wisecarver. Ray was employed at Ohio Farro Alloy and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. He enjoyed watching tractors pulls, tinkering with anything mechanical and working on all types of automotives. Ray was also a National Guard Veteran. Surviving are a wife of 62 years, Mabel Rowland Wiscarver, whom he married on April 19, 1949; one daughter, Janey (Herbie) Hardwick of Zanesville; two sons, Vibert Ray Wiscarver of Zanesville and David Wisecarver of Roseville; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Wisecarver and Eddie Wisecarver; a great grandson, Austin Wisecarver; four brothers, Bill, Albert, Ralph, and Frank Wisecarver; two sisters, Ruby Louise Gebhart and Margaret Funk and an infant brother. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. till the time of the service on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 where the service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Don Henry officiating at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
