Raymond E. Dixon, 86, of Zanesville, died at 11:43 A.M. on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Willow Haven Care Center, Zanesville. He was born January 11, 1935, in Zanesville, a son of the late Roy A. and Christena M. (Wilson) Dixon. He retired from C. W. Taylor & Sons Contracting Company as Superintendent after 42 years and was a member of Immanuel Church.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Marjorie I. (Mautz) Dixon whom he married December 31, 1955; two sons, R. Michael (Joyce) Dixon and Jeffrey A. (Cynthia) Dixon; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Marc) George, Stephanie (Brandon) Donelan, Susan Dixon and Erin Finck; five great grandchildren, Jordan George, Logan George, Riley Donelan, Carson Donelan and Lyla Finck; a brother, Russell (Hattie) Dixon and a brother-in-law, Roger Mautz.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Christena Ann Dixon, Lorrine Rickett and Roberta Moyer; and three brothers, Roy J. Dixon, Theodore Dixon and Robert Dixon.
Friends and family may call from 10 A.M. till time of service at 11AM on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Pastor Sam Osborn officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
