Raymond Lee Kuhn

Raymond Lee Kuhn, 77, of Nashport, died at 5:34 A.M. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at The Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. He was born November 9, 1943, in Akron, a son of the late Milford Earl Kuhn, Virginia Powell Kuhn, and the step-mother who raised him, Katherine Tati Kuhn. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Ray owned and operated Kuhn Sand Blasting and Painting for many years. He was a truck driver and worked at the Pilot Flying J Truck Stops. He was a life time member and past Commander of American Legion Post 29 and a member of the Old Gas & Steam Club of Dresden. He enjoyed pulling tractors, restoring anything he could get his hands on, and a craftsman who could make whatever he put his mind to. Ray was a friend to all.

He is survived by his wife, Susan A. (Wright) Kuhn whom he married November 16, 1993; two daughters, Leanne (Brian) Rhodes and Taryn (Troy) Atkinson; three sons, Steve (Christy) Kuhn, Troy (Jennifer) Miller, and Bradley (Anita) Kuhn; fifteen grandchildren, Toni, Brittany, Jackie, Brittany, Tiffani, Troy Jr., Johnmichal, Derick, Cassandra, Wyatt, HN Tyler Pitcock, Bryson, Brooklyn, Addisyn, and Ainsley; three great-grandchildren, Rowan, Rory, and Nolan; a sister, Dixie Norris; and a step-niece, Deb (Greg) Dodson.

In addition to his parents and step-mother, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Beulah Faye Kuhn; a son, TJ Miller II; a grandson, Jonathan (JK) Kuhn; and a brother, Terry Earl Kuhn.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 25, 2021, with Pastor Chris Riggs officiating.  Full Military Honors will be accorded to him by the United States Navy in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and the American Legion Post 29 prior to the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. A cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jonathan Kuhn Scholarship Fund, c/o the Muskingum County Community Foundation, 534 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville OH 43701.

The family requests that self-provided face masks be worn and social distancing be observed during the calling hours and funeral service.
