Raymond E. Watts, 69, of Nashport, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2009 at Willow Haven Care Center. He was born September 7, 1939, in Muskingum County, a son of the late Cecil and Eleanore Anderson Watts. He retired in 2004 after 40 years of service as a machinist for Burnham Boiler Corporation. He was a member of the First Christian Church and was a United States Navy veteran. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Barbara B. Keyes Watts, whom he married May 23, 1965, of the home; two sons, Robert (Beth) Watts of Morgantown, WV. and Randal Watts of Nashport; two sisters, Sally (Raymond) Franklin of Nashport and Debbie (Michael) Babcock of New Concord; three brothers, Larry Watts of Zanesville, David (Brenda) Watts of South Carolina and Denny Barr of Zanesville; a granddaughter, Hailey Watts of Hopewell; 4 honorary grandchildren, Kenna, Madyson, Landyn and Royce; and a special family friend, Desiree Null. Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the funeral home with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
