Rea Joy Wise, 92, of Columbus, formerly of Zanesville, died Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 8:55 A.M. at Eason House, Columbus. She formerly lived for fifteen years at Westminister Thurber in Columbus. She was born November 17, 1923, at Muskingum County, Hopewell Township, a daughter of the late Frank R. and M. Tealoula Smith Wise. She was a retired school teacher in the West Muskingum School District and taught at Licking View, Ritchey Schools as well as Perkinson School. Rea was also employed at Wright Field in Dayton for the United States Air Force during World War II. She was a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church, former member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 251 Olive Branch, member of the Blue Triangle Club, Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority of Muskingum University, the OEA, NEA. and A.A.U.W. Surviving are a sister, Jean L. Feddersen of Columbus; nephew, Jerold (Vicki) Feddersen of New Orleans, LA.; nieces, Christine (Jeffrey) Althouse of Columbus and Charee (Robert) Maddux of Cincinnatti; several great nieces and great nephews. and a family friend, Charles (Roberta) Norris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Donald S. Wise; two sisters, Eloise Wise and Ruby Wise; brother-in-law, Jerry Feddersen; and niece, Teresa Feddersen.
