Rebecca J. (Wise) Moody

Rebecca J. Moody, 64, of Dresden, died at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at her home. She was born August 22, 1948, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Damian and Florence Neal Wise. Together with her husband Mark, Becky helped with numerous businesses, including a pharmacy: The Dresden Apothecary, a photography business, and running a gift shop: The Dresden Village Mall from 1993-2003. She enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with her family. Surviving are her beloved husband of 30 years, Mark Moody, whom she married June 11, 1983, of the home; a son Shad (Mandy) Wagner of Dresden; a daughter Stephanie (Mike) Mercer of Dresden; five grandchildren, Rachel Wagner, Matt (Paige) Wagner, Brittney Mercer, Bethany Mercer, and Cameron Mercer, all of Dresden; three brothers, Ronald (Barbara) Wise of Brandon, TX, Larry (Marty) Wise of Frazeysburg, and Ed (Donna) Wise of Frazeysburg; a sister Bonny (Dyson) Massengill of Murfreesboro, TN; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother David Wise; and a sister Ellen Underwood. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will take place at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 31, 2013, with Pam Hogue officiating. Following the service, a dignified cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice-Morrison House: 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
