Rev. Charles Richard Baum

Rev. Charles R. Baum, 64, of New Concord, died at 9:15 A.M. Saturday, April 13, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, SC. He was born February 12, 1949 in Zanesville, a son of Ruby Belle Davison Baum of Zanesville and the late Charles D. Baum. Charles was serving as pastor for the First Baptist Church of Malta, he previously had served as pastor of Union Tabernacle Church of Zanesville, was a construction worker and a painter. Charles passion the last few years was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Surviving in addition to his mother, is his wife of 44 years, Dianna M. Newman Baum of the home, whom he married February 15, 1969; a son, Nathan (Lora) Baum of New Concord; two daughters, Rachael (Christopher) Rossiter of Lancaster and Priscilla Baum of New Concord; five grandchildren, Erika, Dakota, Kirklynn, Seth and Noah; four brothers, Walter (Phyllis) Baum of Weirsdale, Fla., Michael (Jackie) Baum of North Carolina, David (Nancy) Baum of Baltimore, Maryland and Glenn ( Kendra) Baum of Weirsdale, Fla.; three sisters, Patricia (Jeff) Popsicil) of Leesburg, Fla., Melanie (Dennis) Sanford of Bellview, Fla. and Charlene (Don) Caprone of Goosecreek, SC. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Union Tabernacle Church, 2433 Hartford Street, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 19, 2013 with Rev. Terry D. Newman officiating. He will be laid to rest at Duncan Falls Cemetery, Duncan Falls.
