Rev. Mark L. Hina, 61, of Zanesville, died at 12:03 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2009 at Genesis Good Samaritan hospital. He was born August 7, 1947, in Zanesville, a son of the late John P. and Catherine L. Linicome Hina. He was a member at the Apostolic Gospel Church. Rev. Hina started preaching when he was 16 years old and his life was God, family and church. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Kathy S. Pride Hina, whom he married June 17, 1967, of the home; two daughters, Christina (Todd) Clark and Amy J. Hina, both of Zanesville; three sons, Mark (Nichole) Hina of Sidney, Ohio, David (Melanie) Hina of New Market, Alabama and John (Suzanne) Hina of Cold Spring, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren, Cameron, Spencer, Jared, Preston, Ethan, Abby, Isaac, Cole, Case and Isabella and one on the way; a sister, Violet (Alfred) Kirkbride of Zanesville; and a brother, Paul Hina of Zanesville. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Apostolic Gospel Church, 1365 Chamberlin St., Zanesville with Pastor Aaron Bounds and Bishop Larry Farris officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville is entrusted with all arrangements.
