Richard G. "Willie" Williams

RICHARD G. "WILLIE" WILLIAMS, age 55, of Zanesville, died at 5:05 pm Saturday, April 17, 2004 at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House Zanesville. He was born March 28, 1949, in Zanesville, the son of Francis E. Williams and the late Amanda "Yetty" Van Echelpoel Williams. Mr. Williams was a former Sheerman at the McGraw Edison Co. for seventeen years,was a former employee at the Meridan Plastics in Byesville, and was an employee at the Wal-Mart Garden Center for the past nine years.He was a graduate of the Zanesville High School and served four years in the Air Force as a aircraft mechanic, serving in Florida, Texas, and Thailand. Mr. Williams was an avid golfer, loved working with flowers and oil painting. Surviving are his father, Francis E. Williams of Zanesville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Amanda M. "Yetty" Williams ( October 27, 2003) Friends may call 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at the funeral home with the Rev. D. Scott Johnston officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with VFW George Selsam Post 1058 holding military services at the gravesite. In liew of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice Morrison House and Pallitiave Care.
