Ricky J. Young

Ricky J. Young, 50, of Zanesville, died at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2008 at his residence. He was born October 14, 1957, in Covington, Kentucky, a son of the late Rosella Perry Young. He was a painter in the construction industry. He was a member of Wildwood Church of Christ and was an avid fisherman and gardener. Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Mary D. Brown Young, of the home; a son, Jay (Darcy) Brown of Roseville; two daughters, Becky (Scott) Hicks and Amy (Lloyd) Thornhill II, all of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Haley, Brady, Kenzie and Cody; two brothers, Ronnie Young and Darrell Young, both of Florida and a sister, Darlene Young of Covington, Kentucky. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Lee, Gary Lee and Dave Lee. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2008 at the Wildwood Church of Christ, Ridge Road, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the church with Mr. C. Frank Maple officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville is entrusted with all arrangements.
