Rita F. Himmelspach, 87, of Zanesville, died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Abbot Home. She was born October 4, 1921 in Zanesville a daughter of the late Edward F. And Edna B. Mattingly Himmelspach. Rita worked for Cooper Industries for 50 years as a Supervisor in the Accounting Department.She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, past President of the Pilot Club of Zanesville, a member of Zanesville Jaycees and enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing euchre. Surviving are a sister, Ann Queen of Granville; three nephews, James (Lori) Queen of Hilton Head, SC, Dan Queen of Pataskala, Ed (Mary) Queen of Columbus; three nieces, Daphne (Ron) Roach of Wadsworth, Debra Matesich of Thornville, Pamela (Russ) Frye of Granville; many great-nieces and nephews, Kevin Queen, Kris (Tonya) Queen, Bo Queen,Kassie Queen, Cobie Bland, Chris Bland, Jackie Bland, Kelly (Mandy) Queen, Kate Queen, Brian (Stephanie) Roach, Carrie Roach, Stacie (Brent) Isler, Leigh Ann Matesich, Molly Matesich, Sarah Matesich, Brad (Karen) Frye, Erin Frye, Megan Frye; a great great niece, Lily Queen and special friends, Sue & Dick Dooley of Zanesville. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother in law, Russell Rex Queen. Friends may call Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 from 2-4 & 6-8 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVE., ZANESVILLE where Vigil Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Martin Ralko as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice or the Pilot Club.
