Rita J. (Pyatt) Stalnaker

Rita J. Stalnaker, 77, of Zanesville, died at 7:15 P.M. on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Adams Lane Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 26, 1947, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late John Pyatt and Josephine (Roll) Pyatt German. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 50 years and loved horses.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edwin A. Stalnaker, whom she married on November 14, 1964; two sons, Chad (Crystal) Stalnaker and Jeremy Stalnaker; two grandchildren; two sisters, Dolly and Kathy; two sister in laws, Barb (Gary) Moore and Shirley (Randy) Stalnaker; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rita is preceded in death by her stepfather, Donald German; a son, Rick A. Stalnaker; a sister in law, Karen Pyatt; and a brother, Jim Pyatt.

Per her wishes, a cremation will take place under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1705 Pine street Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
