Robert D. Biggum

Robert D. Biggum, 86, of South Zanesville, died at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, May 3, 2009 at the Muskingum County Home. He was born February 1, 1923, in Zanesville, a son of the late Raymond Biggum and Mary Degelman Biggum Starr. He was the owner and operator of Auto Upholstery since 1948. Bob was a World War Two Army Veteran, member of the VFW George Selsam Post 1058, Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post 29, LaFayette Lodge # 79 F&AM, and Past Master Association 18th District Ohio Masonic District. Surviving are a daughter, Robin Sue (Jeffrey) Rapol of South Zanesville; two grandchildren, Rodney L. (Alexandria) Morrison III and Melissa Sue (Steve) Rhodes, all of Manassas, VA; and six great grandchildren, Rodney and Allison Morrison, Trey, Christian, Nathan and Chloe Rhodes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Little Biggum; a son, Rodney Allen Biggum; three sisters and one brother. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. till service time Monday, May 11, 2009 at Bolin- Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday with Rev. Joy French officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. The United States Army in conjunction with VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold full military honors at the grave.
