Robert E. Church

Robert E. Church, 71, of Zanesville died at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born June 14, 1936 in Muskingum County, a son of the late Clyde F. & Goldie Batteiger Church. Robert retired from Reiter Dairy after 48 years of service. He was a member of the Eagles # 302 and the American Legion Post 29. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Myrna J.(Sparkman) Church , whom he married on September 20, 1958 of the home; His children: Lynn (Gary) Longaberger of Zanesville; Sue (Bob) Blaney of Zanesville; Jeff (Tiffany) Church of Georgia and Mark (Heidi) Church of Zanesville; a sister Evelyn Anderson of Zanesville; mother-in-law: Beatrice Van Dyne of Zanesville; grandchildren: Tyler and Corey Hull, Mallory Blaney, Dustin Church, Matthew and Kyle Church of Zanesville, a step-grandson, Brandon Moore of Georgia; and a great-grandchild: Ryan Jordan. He is also survived by very special nieces, nephews, their spouses and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, sisters: Betty Bowman & Virginia Bartlett, a brother: James Church, and grandson: Ryan Church. No calling hours will be observed.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday June 13, 2008 at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplin Tim Patton officiating.
