Robert E. Fellers, 88, of Zanesville, died at 3:03 A.M. on Monday, June 29, 2015, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born October 11, 1926, in Findlay, a son of the late Cecil A. and Marion O. Wheeler Fellers. He earned his BA in Business from Bowling Green State University, Class of 1950, was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II, owned and operated the area McDonald's franchise from 1965-1993, and had been a member of Grace United Methodist Church for over 43 years. He was a member of Sertoma, the American Legion, VFW, Emeritus Board of Directors of Muskingum College, the Zanesville Art Institute, Elks, Farm Bureau, and had also been a member of the Zanesville Country Club. Bob and Leona were avid supporters and sponsors of scholarships for Bowling Green State University, Zane State College, and Muskingum University. Surviving are a daughter Debbie Moore of Zanesville; a son Doug Fellers of Zanesville; six grandchildren, Angela Hammer of Zanesville, Nicole Moore of Zanesville, Zach Fellers of Odenton, MD, Mac Fellers of Columbus, Ian Fellers of Zanesville, and Ellie Fellers of Zanesville; three great grandchildren, Jaiden, Myleigh and Weston Hammer; his mother-in-law Lucille LeCocq of Zanesville; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leona L. LeCocq Fellers, whom he married June 14, 1952, and who died August 26, 2012; a son-in-law Russ Moore; and a brother Charles Sumner Fellers. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at the Grace United Methodist Church, 516 Shinnick Street, Zanesville, and one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 3, 2015, with Rev. Steve McGuire officiating. He will be entombed next to his beloved wife Leona at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville, with full military honors being presented by the United States Navy in conjunction with VFW George Selsam Post #1058. Arrangements were entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
