Watch the Video Tribute Robert L. " Bob" Imlay, 81, of Zanesville died at 8:15 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2005 at Grant Hospital in Columbus as a result of injuries sustained in a ladder accident. He was born June 13, 1924 in Muskingum Co., a son of the late Lloyd and Alice Leasure Imlay. Bob was a co-owner with his brother-in-law, Fred Wright, of the Wright and Imlay Auto Service for 35 years, he was a devoted and longtime member of Central Presbyterian Church, where he had served on many boards including being an Elder, Deacon and a Trustee. One of the many things Bob will be remembered for was his woodworking abilities that can be found in many parts of the church. He was a World War Two Army Veteran. Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Mary E. Parker Imlay, whom he married November 23, 1945, of the home, a daughter and son-in-law, Melanie Imlay and Gregory Folden of Zanesville, two sons, Daniel ( Mary J. ) Imlay and Don (Lynn) Imlay both of Columbus, five grandchildren, Lisa Lorraine, Danielle Imlay, Trevor Imlay, Ben Imlay and Arianne Imlay and many special nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 Monday, August 29, 2005 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at Central Presbyterian Church, 40 North Sixth Street, Zanesville with Rev. Ray Morrison, Jr. Officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
