Robert L. "Rob" Lucas, 67, of Zanesville, loving husband, father, and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2005, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 30, 1938 in Zanesville a son of the late Donald and Helene Burkhart Lucas. He retired from Anchor Glass after 43 years of service. He was a member of Maranatha Bible Church, was an avid photographer and had worked for Bill Goff Photography and was a car enthusiast. Surviving are his loving wife, Janice L. Stansberry Lucas, whom he married May 10, 1959, two sons, Jeffrey ( Becky ) Lucas and Ryan ( Cindy ) Lucas both of Zanesville, a daughter, Kimberly (Bob) Vousden of Zanesville, eight grandchildren, Allison, Annie, Nicole, Monica, Alex, Joshua, Daniel, and Brooke, a brother, James (Linda) Lucas of Newark, two sisters, Phyllis (Joe) Bridwell of Indiana and June (Dave) Pattee of Gahanna, mother-in-law, Leona Stansberry of New Concord, brother-in-law, Robert ( Imogene) Stansberry of Zanesville and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Issac Stansberry, sister-in-law, Alice Clice and brother-in-law, Gene Stansberry. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville and one hour prior to the services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at Maranatha Bible Church, 2400 Chandlersville Road, Zanesville with Pastor's, L. Dale McCallister, Ron Smith ,Chris Brown and Treg Spicer officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
