Robert L. Schmidt

Robert L. Schmidt, 77, of Zanesville died at 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Genesis Hospice- Morrison House. He was born on July 25, 1938 in Zanesville to the late Elmer and Daisy Keller Schmidt. Robert is a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Surviving are his loving wife, Sherry Miracle Roush Schmidt; three sons, Gary (Patricia) Schmidt, Doug (Angie) Schmidt and Bill (Wendy) Roush all of Zanesville; a daughter, Debra (Patrick) Norris of Harpster, OH; twelve grandchildren, Erica, Kaitlin, Dustin, Anelia, Dulton, Ben, Bain, Mason, Eli, Cooper, Heather and Patrick Jr.; seven great grandchildren, Waylon, Gunner, Eva, Stella, Malia, Kinley and Eira; a sister, Barb (Bill) Beckwith of Florida; three brothers, Dick (Candy) Schmidt of Zanesville, Ron (Pat) Schmidt of Tennessee and Jim (Sue) Schmidt of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call from 5:00 7:00 P.M. on Monday, August 1, 2016 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where full military honors will be presented by The United States Air Force in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and the American Legion Post 29 promptly starting at 4:45 P.M. prior to calling hours on Monday, August 1, 2016.
