Robert P. Weller, 87, of Zanesville, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Genesis Extended Care & Rehab Center. He was born December 23, 1919, in Zanesville, a son of the late Samuel and Nora Darringer Weller. He was owner and operator of Weller Auto Parts for many years and then went to work for Neff Trucking, delivering the mail. He was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church. Surviving are his wife, Violet (Vi) Somer Weller, whom he married July 17, 1965, of the home; a daughter, Cheryl (Russell) Delong and a grandson, Joseph Robbins, all of Zanesville and a special care giver, Paula Priest, who took excellent care of Robert while he was at Genesis Extended Care & Rehab Center. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Weller and a brother, Emerson Weller, who was killed in action in World War II. No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will take place at Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2007 with the Rev. Jeff Fountain officiating. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville are entrusted with all arrangements.
