Robert L. Wharton

Robert L. Wharton, 78, of Zanesville, died at 11:10 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2004 at his home. He was born May 29, 1926 at Cambridge, Ohio a son of the late Bernard R. & Rose B. Klass Wharton. He retired after 40 years as a Supervisor for United Technologies. He was a World War II Army Veteran, loved to fish, hunt and enjoyed football. Surviving are his wife, Georgia Klementzos Wharton, whom he married August 25, 1984, of the home, two sons, Robert Wharton of Texas and Robby Wharton of Georgia, a daughter, Connie ( Ralph ) Miller of Lancaster and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, a brother, Bill Wharton and a sister Bernadine ( Charlie ) Lunsford both of Lancaster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Greg Wharton. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 27, 2004 at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2004 with Rev. Roy Keyser officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold military rites at the grave.
