Rodger W. West

Rodger W. West, 68, of Zanesville, died on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Genesis Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 3, 1956, in Zanesville, a son of Norma (Archer) Baker and the late Everett Lee West. He was a Mason and a member of the Amrou Grotto, Lafayette Lodge No. 79, Eagles F.O.E. No. 302 and Moose Lodge No. 867. Rodger was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish but really found joy teasing, joking and socializing with all who he loved dearly.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patty West, whom he married on March 27, 1976; two children, Everett Lee (Jenni) West and Stephanie (Jacob) Glassmire; four grandchildren, Maia (Corey) Woods, Ashley (Austin) Settles, Brady West and Everett Lee West Jr.; two step grandchildren, Melanie Bryan and Lane Bryan; three great grandchildren, Nevaeh Settles, Lauryn Settles and Wendell Settles; a brother, Terry Lee West; and two sisters, Brenda (Dave) Zienta and Rosabeth (Reinhard) Dorfhuber.

In addition to his father, Rodger is preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Volland; a brother in law, Bob Volland and fur babies. Missy and Corby.

Friends and family may call from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with Lafayette Masonic Lodge No. 79 F&AM services to be held at 7:45 P.M. followed by Amrou Grotto services.
