Ronald Hwilka, 79, of Zanesville, Ohio was called home by our Heavenly Father on January 5, 2022 at Clay Gardens Assisted Living Community, Zanesville. He was born February 18, 1942 a son of the late Anthony and Lena Hwilka. He was a sergeant of the United States Air Force and retired from The Federal Weather Commission in Washington, DC. Ron was a Deacon and bible study teacher at First Baptist Church of Saint Charles in Waldorf, MD.
He is survived by his brother Chuck and his wife Carol along with their son Adam.
Surviving children are Kim Esplen, Kris (Joe) Pazula, Beverly (Pat) Buehler, Karen (Ed) Snyder and Bill Kirchner. Ron was blessed and survived by seven grandchildren, Maria, Jessica, Sean, Kat, Carrie, Jennifer, and Ron Jr; and six great-grandchildren, Allison, Mekayla, Ryder, Cruz, King and Ronnie the 3rd.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Janet, his brother Tony, granddaughter Ashley, and his pup companion Cody.
No calling hours or services will be held for Ronald. He will be laid to rest in honor at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.
