Ronald E. Minner, 76, of Zanesville, died at 4:00 p.m., Monday, September 4, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan hospital. He was born August 16, 1930, in Muskingum County, the son of the late Carl C. and Elsie Sarbaugh Minner. Mr. Minner was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church. He was employed as a Wire Stripper with United Technologies for 45 years and was a meat cutter for Kessler's Market. He was an avid outdoors man and fisherman and he loved to play cards and all through the years, he enjoyed having his many animals. Surviving are three daughters, Jane (Gary) Bryan, Joan (Valentin) Velez and Janene (Lonnie) Watts, all of Zanesville; mother of his children, Rebecca Minner; eleven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Francis J. Minner and a sister, Edna L. Shaw. Friends may call 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2006 at the funeral home with Rev. Reginald Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery, Dresden.
