Ronald F. Nethers, 78, of Zanesville, died at 8:42 P.M. Monday, December 8, 2014, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born January 10, 1936, in Nashport, a son of the late Fred J. and Bessie Bowser Nethers. He retired from Rockwell International after 29 and a half years, was in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church for 50 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer with a hole-in-one. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved being on the river. Surviving are a daughter, Lynette K. Nethers of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, Jordan Wood, Kristian Wood, and Dream Day, all of Louisville, KY; a sister who had been his caregiver for the last 8 years, Marcia Imlay of Zanesville; nephews Greg Imlay of Apache, AZ, and Philip Imlay of Zanesville; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife C. Lee Lester Nethers, who died in 2001. Per his wishes, no calling hours will be observed and a dignified cremation will take place. Arrangements were entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
