Ronald Earl Newton, 46, of Zanesville, died at 5:50 A.M. on April 16, 2015, at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. Ron was born May 26, 1968 in Zanesville to the late Ralph Arnold and Juanita Ruth Hunter Newton Sr. Ron was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church and retired from the Army after 21 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Danielle Freeman Newton whom he married on October 27, 2011, two daughters, Nicole Holger of Wisconsin and Sierra Lyall of Zanesville; a son, Ronald Earl "R.J." Moore of Wisconsin; a step-son, Devon Darner of Zanesville; three grandchildren, McKenna, Alex and Penelope; three brothers, Ricky (Micky) Newton Sr. of Iowa, Russell (Jackie) Newton of Zanesville and Roger (Rita) Newton Sr. of St. Lewisville; five sisters, Ruth (Bill) McDonald of Nashport, Rose (Gail) Conklin of Adamsville, Rhonda (Rudy) Diaz of South Carolina, Robin Botkins of Zanesville and Renee Newton of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in by a brother, Ralph Arnold Newton Jr. and a cousin-brother, Bob Newton. No calling hours will be observed a graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Rev. Stephen J. Harrop officiating. Full military honors being presented by the United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058.
