Ronald E. Pryor

Ronald E. Pryor, 61, of Zanesville, died at 1:48 P.M. Friday, February 28, 2014, at Genesis Good Samaritan Emergency Room. He was born August 29, 1952, in Zanesville, a son of the late Roy C. Pryor and Margaret L. Musselman Pryor Schilling. Ron was the owner and operator of Gage Services, was a West Muskingum High School graduate and received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Ohio University. He was the assistant basketball coach at Ohio University- Zanesville this year and an OUZ Basketball Alumni. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Kathy J. Shryock Pryor, whom he married July 14, 1979, of the home; a daughter, Alyssa A. Wilson of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Gage E. Pryor of the home, Gracie L. and Emma S. Wilson both of Zanesville; two brothers, Jerry (Becky) Pryor of Zanesville and Richard (Glenna) Pryor of Wooster; a sister, Marilyn (Frank) Galligher of Zanesville; a sister-in-law, Marlene Pryor of Zanesville, mother-in-law, Mavis Shryock of Frazeysburg; three brother-in-laws and nine sister-in-laws; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Wayne Schilling; two brothers, Robert and Leroy (Bud) Pryor; and father-in-law Murl Shryock. Friends and family may call from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday March 4, 2014, at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. No funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nashport Elementary School, 3775 Creamery Road, Nashport, Ohio 43830 in memory of Ronald Pryor.
