Ronald E. Stemm

Ronald E. Stemm, 87, of Zanesville, died at 11:15 P.M. on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at his home under Hospice care after a short illness. He was born November 18, 1928, a twin, in Washington Township, a son of the late John and Sinna Pierce Stemm. He retired from Racine Hydraulic. He was a member of Eagles Auxiliary and the American Legion, and was in the National Guard. He enjoyed going on vacation with the love of his life, his wife Janie Stemm. He also enjoyed golfing, going to the Eagles Lodge and the Legion with his kids, and going out to eat. One of his proudest achievements was bowling a 300 game! He is survived by four daughters, Karen (Carl Miller) Shinn, Cindy (Richard Heskett) Lawson and Joy Geyer, all of Zanesville, and Jamie Curley of St. Petersburg, Florida; two sons, Michael (Tracy) Kinneer of Nashport and Jesse "Rex" Stemm of Zanesville; nine grandchildren, Trisha (Jimmy) Darden, Jennifer (John) Euler, Jason (Angie) Lawson, Austin (Christina Carnevale) Kinneer, Bryce Goss, Caiden Kinneer, Sarah and Hannah Curley, and Natalie (Dustin) Randall; eight great grandchildren, twins John Jr. and Jacob Euler, Aaron and Grayson Euler, Emily Lawson, Avery Grace Darden, Cadence Randall and Emerson Geyer and a great grandson on the way; and two brothers, his twin Donald (Darlene) Stemm, and Russell (Ethel) Stemm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lois Jane "Janie" Leffler Stemm, whom he married April 7, 1979, and who died September 12, 2010; three sisters, Frances Christman, Emma Thompson and Juanita Anguish; and five brothers, Albert, Johnny, Virgil, Jesse, Richard and baby Lawrence Stemm. Friends and family may call from 4:00-6:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 20, 2016, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 21, 2016, with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Janie at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
