Rosa Florence Buzza, 98, of Zanesville, died Friday, October 8, 2010 at 6:50 a.m. at Willow Haven Care Center. She was born September 23, 1912 in Zanesville to the late Samuel L. and Esther M. Frye Riston. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She was a demonstrator for Nescafe Coffee Company and a baker for Plezol Baker Bread Company. She was also a member of Eastern Star #485, Past President of Amrou Cauldron #23, Captain of the Amrou Cauldron Drill Team and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary # 302. She has cooked many meals for Amrou Grotto, she was especially known for her beef and noodles. Rosa loved singing with the mother singers of Zanesville under the direction of Glenville Thomas. She enjoyed many things and helped in many ways throughout her life and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved animals. Surviving are two daughters, Mirem Rose Buzza of the home; Joanna (Harry) Lewis of Zanesville; two sons, William A. Buzza of Zanesville and Jay Thomas Buzza of Frazeysburg; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Buzza Sr. whom died in 1982; a loving grandson, David J. Buzza who died in 1973; a brother, Samuel L. Riston died in 1988 and a grandson-in-law, Rick Neff who died in 2001. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where the funeral service will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
