Rosanna J. Brookover, 84, of Zanesville, died at 3:05 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2009 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born July 1, 1925, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Howard Robinson. She retired in 1987 after 18 years of service in the accounting department for McGraw Edison. She was a member of the Child Conservation League and a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed playing golf in the Green Valley Golf League. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ann Brookover of Zanesville; six sons, Alan (Joy) Brookover of Mt. Juliet, TN, Charles Brookover of Zanesville, William (Shelia) Brookover of Willow Spring, N.C., John (Kendra) Brookover of Zanesville, Phillip Brookover of Cary, NC. and Stephen (Cyndy) Brookover of Toledo; eight grandchildren, Andrew Brookover, Christopher Brookover, Jennifer Clark, Andrea Brookover, Audra Brookover, Adam Brookover, Brian Brookover and Rebecca Brookover; two great grandsons, Palmer Clark and Tanner Brookover; three great granddaughters, Sydney Buckley, Emily Clark and Aubree Brookover; and two sisters, Fern Gabriel of South Zanesville and Martha Coffey of Chandlersville. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Brookover, who died April 22, 2006; and a brother, William Robinson. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVE., ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the funeral home with the Rev. Joy French officiating. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
