Rowena M. Winsley, 86, of Zanesville, died at 2:15 P.M. on Sunday, March 23, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 15, 1927, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Bertha E. Miller Harris. She was a graduate of Ohio Northern University- College of Pharmacy, co-owner of the Harris Pharmacy located on Underwood Street and the Winsley Pharmacy located on Greenwood Avenue, and a member of Market Street Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Thomas William "Bill" Winsley, whom she married July 31, 1949; two daughters, Becky Winsley and Joy (James) Prentice; two sons, William T. (Betsy) Winsley, and Kurt (Adrienne) Winsley; eighteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister Beverly (Thomas) Gatton; a brother Don (Donna) Harris; a cousin James Carle; a son-in-law Scott Stevens; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Stevens; a sister Mary Lou Krofft; and a brother-in-law Richard Krofft. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 28, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, and one hour prior to the funeral which will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Market Street Baptist Church, 140 N 6th Street, Zanesville, with Pastor Howard Thompson and Pastor D. Scott Johnston officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
