Ruby M. Grandstaff

December 30, 1920 — February 2, 2008

Ruby M. Watton Grandstaff, 87, of Zanesville, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born December 30, 1920, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Ray and Lottie Garrett Watton. Ruby was a retired nurses aide at the Muskingum County Home and a member of the Fair Oaks Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter in-law, Richard R. (Carolyn) Grandstaff of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Penny L. (Greg) Butler Kincheloe, Shawn J. (Pam) Butler, Vincent (Billie) Grandstaff and Ryan Grandstaff, all of Zanesville; eight great grandchildren and several nieces. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard H. Grandstaff, who died February 8, 1978; a daughter, Phyllis M. Butler, who died in March 1996; a son in-law, James N. Butler; two sisters, Gladys Hiett and infant, Rosemary Watton and two brothers, Brooks Watton and Charles Watton. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2008 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the funeral home with Rev. Carl Finley officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
