Russell E. Glaub Sr., 80, of Zanesville, died at 5:12 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born July 30, 1926, in Zanesville, a son of the late Charles and Gladys Shearer Glaub. He retired as a Route Driver for Pepsi Cola after 35 years of service. He was a life member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, a 50 year member of Eagles Lodge #302, life member of VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and a member of American Legion Post #29. He was a United States Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, W. Betty Thomas Glaub, whom he married January 4, 1987, of the home; a daughter, Brenda (Carroll) Fink of Zanesville; three sons, Russell E. (Sharon) Glaub Jr., Terry (Margie) Glaub and Gary (Fiance Jennifer) Glaub, all of Zanesville; a brother, Leonard (Peggy) Glaub of Zanesville; 11 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Glaub, who died June 22, 1970; a sister, Mildred Beisser; two brothers, Charles Glaub Jr. and Richard Glaub; a grandson, Randall Glaub and a step-son, Ronald Rogers. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. Eagles Lodge #302 will hold services at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the funeral home with Captain Ralph and Diane Campbell officiating. Burial will take place at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. VFW George Selsam Post 1058 will hold full military rites at the gravesite.
