Ruth L. (Barnhart) Carroll

Ruth L. Carroll, 83, of Adamsville, went to be with the Lord at 2:55 A.M. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. She was born February 25, 1928, in Avondale, OH, a daughter of the late Eli Homer and Alice Worstall Barnhart. She was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church. Surviving are nine children; Paula Myers of Coshocton, Joyce (Dan) Hamilton of Glenford, Andrea (Sam) Mitchell of Adamsville, Kathy Carroll of the home, John Carroll of Otsego, Jeff Carroll and Rod Carroll, both of Adamsville, Holly (Pat) Hennessy of Zanesville and Tim Carroll of Adamsville; 30 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. "Bill" Carroll, who died May 26, 2009; a son, Ronald J. Carroll; two great granddaughters; and a brother, Donald Barnhart. Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville and one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Westwood Baptist Church, 2395 East Pike, Zanesville, with her grandson, the Rev. Joshua Hamilton officiating. Ruth will be laid to rest beside her husband, Bill, at New Hope Cemetery near Adamsville.
